Cross-border e-commerce import
Personal parcel, cross-border e-commerce or general trade: we pick the route that fits your product and clear it.
Service
We move parcels and cartons from your country to an address in mainland China and handle the customs entry on arrival. Before pickup, we check your invoice and product details against what Chinese customs will ask for, so the shipment does not stall at the airport.
An express carrier will collect a carton in Chicago or Hamburg and land it in Shenzhen a few days later. The delay starts after landing. Customs asks the consignee for a document nobody prepared: a clearer description, proof of value, a license. The consignee does not know what to send. The shipment waits in a bonded shed while storage charges add up.
Most of these holds trace back to the paperwork that left with the shipment.
Our team knows the clearance process for each kind of cargo: which documents customs asks for and which declaration method applies. We read your invoice and packing list before the shipment moves and tell you what to change.
When the goods land, you choose who files the entry:
A shipment into China has three parties in three time zones. When customs raises a question, each one waits for another to answer. We take that job. We chase the carrier, tell the shipper what to send, and explain to the consignee what customs wants.
You can check the status of every parcel in our tracking system at any hour.
China treats the two differently. A parcel for someone’s personal use may be worth up to RMB 2,000 and clears under a simple tax. A commercial shipment clears as cargo and needs an importer.
If your consignee has no import license, we can act as importer of record for general trade shipments.
Companies sending samples, spare parts, documents and small commercial orders into China, and individuals sending goods to family or to themselves. For regular consumer orders, a cross-border e-commerce route costs less per parcel.
See China import duty and tax rates for how customs calculates what is due.
The process
Origin, destination, contents, value and weight. We reply with a price and a list of the documents customs will want.
We read your invoice and packing list before pickup and tell you what to fix.
An express carrier collects the shipment and flies it to China. You can follow it in our tracking system.
The carrier’s broker, your broker or our team files the entry. You choose.
Once customs releases the goods, they go out for delivery to the address in China.
Questions
A commercial invoice and a packing list for every shipment. Some products also need an import license or a registration held by the importer. Tell us the product before you book and we will list what applies.
Yes. A parcel for personal use may be worth up to RMB 2,000, or more when it holds a single item that cannot be divided. Customs waives the tax when the amount due is RMB 50 or less. A commercial shipment addressed to an individual has to clear as cargo.
Chinese customs charges import tax to the importer of the goods. We estimate the amount before you ship so the delivery holds no surprise.
For general trade cargo, yes. We can provide the importer of record and file the customs declaration in our name.
Goods that China bans from import, and goods that need a license the importer does not hold. Send us the product details first.
